A little about myself

Did you know that I am the direct descendent of a confederate war hero? It's not as bad as you think! John Henry Wisdom of Gadston Alabama was not a soldier nor did he help maintain the institutions of slavery. However, he did warn the common folk of Rome Georgia that General Sherman of the Union Army was heading towards them with the intention to burn the city to the ground. My Great Great Great Great Grandfather John Henry Wisdom rode for sixty seven miles on horseback to warn them giving him the title "The Paul Revere of Rome Georgia"

As a southern white, just saying "I'm the direct decendent of a confederate war hero" is guaranteed to raise eyebrows. If he was an actual soldier that aided the rebel army I wouldn't be so quick to brag about that part of my family history but because it seems that he didn't do that, I'm a bit more comfortable with that part of my family heritage.

Today I Walked to Work

Today at work I told a lot of people about my website because I was quite exited that I even got it to work. I realize now that if I am to blog on here regularly I probably shouldn't let many people know about it because I may say something about someone that I don't necessarily want them to see.

anyways tommarow I have a day off so I plan on going to panera bread and eating one of their delicious salads. I also plan on studying Russian for probably about an hour. I think I'm gonna make a section of this website that is solely dedicated to books that I enojoy, I would like to consider making little pixel art covers of the books or maybe the spine so I can have a little virtual bookshelf of all the books I like. I can't really write good reviews on books because once I'm done reading a book I'm usually very overwhealmed. Although I do write some reviews of movies. I'll probably also have a page for movies I like.

Everything with making a website is so overwhealming. Two days ago I didn't even know what html was but I think I'm starting to understand it, I got this image to work which is pretty cool; The cat on the left is Mont and the cat on the right is Jiugui.

冬至 — Winter Solstice

This is one of the first poems that I translated to english. I believe I translated it near christmas time of 2021. I ran to my brother's room and read the translation aloud to him and explained that it was from the year 804ad. My brother thought that it was profound that the specific feeling of not being able to be with your family during solstice/christmas time wasn't unique to our culture, but instead it is an experience that we share with people from thousands of years ago in a culture completly seperated from our own

My First Blog Post

So i guess my first blog post on here is gonna be about how i bought this website. i thought it would be cool for me to own the website 'kisinja.com' because that is my toki pona name.

anyways this website will become a place to pull all my thoughts on tea tasting, meshtastic stuff, classical chinese poetry, theology. just any of my interests
